My name is Jose Chuc
Nationality: Yucatan, México [South of Mexico]
Background
Farmlife was central to my upbringing since it exposed me to all kinds of fruits and vegetables that grew on the farm. I developed a diverse knowledge base from the science of farming to how the taste of fresh fruits and veggies could enhance a meal.
After spending half of my life in Yucàtan, Mexico, I decided to restart my life in California, US where I have been building my dreams for the last 22 years. I developed my skills working for a leather goods company and slowly but surely brought this dreams into fruition. Wanting to celebrate my love for where I come from in America, I realized that the best way to celebrate this love was through the one thing that every culture shares and enjoys: food.
Artisanal, High Quality, & Versatile
My journey led me in search of a product that was not only good, but a great representation of where I came from and something that would go great with whatever someone was cooking. I wanted to bring Yucatan to every table in the world, starting in America.
With my knowledge from my days raised on a farm, I had an extensive knowledge around the famously hot chilis of Yucatan. My aha moment came when I knew that Mexico was well known for its spicy chili sauces and that was when I knew that that was going to be my starting point. Thus, I ended up finding a producer for a high quality Habanero Sauce that contains no artificial coloring or flavors and is an explosion of flavors that truly celebrated Yucatan and go well with whatever me, friends, and family could make from soup to seafood to steaks to salads.
